My story on how I got into the Messianic-torah Movement:

Dear Brethren (achim),

Shalom-Peace ! Baruch HaShem-Praise His name !

To my limited knowledge,the messianic movement (restoration of the jewish roots of faith) here in the Philippines started about 5 years ago independently by some people whom God had called in a special way. Most of them made researches on the internet & discovered it. I believe its the Ruach HaKodesh work to bring people to the truth especially the first century messianic practice of Yeshua & His talmidims(disciples).
I have known most of the leaders who pioneered this movement here in Manila & provinces such as Visayas & Mindanao.

Sadly, because of the varied preference in terms of Halacha of the Small sproutingg Messianic congregations, there is not much unity. Some of the groups that I have known who lately have increase their following, who are carrying the label of "messianics" also have carried the "sacred name doctrine" to some extend that they became extreme.

That is the reason why im looking for more materials,books, & scholarly articles, so i can personally teach the congregation a balance & sound teachings on the truth about rabbi Shaul & our Master Yeshua & His first century practices. I believe this is the key to proper understanding of our faith!
How can we know the truth if we dont have access to this scholaryly works & researches? That is why I am truly bless by you when you offered to donate some of your collections of books about the torah & the original movement pioneered by Yeshua & Shaul(Paul).
I started rediscovering the joy of torah observance (keeping shabbat & moedims,kosher, etc.) more than two years back after so much frustration about my 13 years (no real Peace-Shalom) of nominal christian life. Back then, the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) led me to prayer & fasting (water only) for 21 days straight & continuing it periodically til 40 days. After the fasting, God led me to the Messianic faith & torah studies. I got so hooked (more than attraction) on it that Adonai bless me with wisdom & had open doors of opportunity so I can share this seemingly new re-discovered truth about the Teachings of the torah that was never abolished by Yeshua neither Paul.

I got so immerse on my personal quest for a satisfying relationship with my Creator-the God (Elohim) of Isra'el, that I literally study day & night,week after week, for the last two years. Moreover, I am now facing a challenge, I asked myself, if the Messianic jews are right then most professing christians are wrong in relation to the place of the torah in the believers life?
I started going around evangelical & pentecostal churches that I know of in the city and share the "FREE electronic e-sword hebrew bible & hebrew & greek dictionary" being resourceful this is free to download at www.e-sword.net & I put it on a CD then give it away to pastors & christians. Some pastors accomadated my sincere effort while most didn’t. One pastor by the name of pastor Mar, I met him at his church, he was a bit interested to know about this orginal faith. I befriended him, over a few months we became much like partners about the quest for our hebrew roots of our faith. Ptr Mar & I became so convicted about the torah that together we started to introduce Shabbat,dietary laws, & the annual biblical festivals (moedims) in Ptr Mar congregation.
You know what happened? Guess what? Half of his 40 members left him! because of the torah that we taught. But that does not discouraged us.
But me & ptr mar continued to share & teach. Now ptr mar is happy with more new members who are observing the shabbat & torah studies.
Then our Good Adonai YHVH let me to more opportunities to share & teach other christians who are "lovers of Israel" so they say.
After consistent bible studies, the good Adonai entrusted to me 5 families (the families of Abella,alba,villoria,arellano,lucasan,godanski-a jew himself living in Manila & several other individuals who attend my shabbat group & torah study right in our place every saturday.)
Our small group have a regular attedance of about 25 people every shabbat meeting. We do not have our own place of assembly or synagogue, for we only meet in my rented apartment. I do the torah parasha teaching (to my limited knowledge, I need to study more) every shabbat. The assembly who are mostly christians for the past 15 years who are older than myself (only 39 years of age). We enjoyed the torah study.

Now our group led by me, have this vision to reach out to the larger Messianic believers all over the country. I have made a website http://messianicphilippines.bravehost.com/, this website was instrumental in bringing about messianics torah observant right here in the Philippines to contact me. So, we are practically in network with the key leaders around the country. Whatever materials that I have especially books, I shared also with this leaders of the Messianic movement here. So we are edifying, helping build each other faith for the glory of Adonai YHVH & His Son Yeshua.

I know that with YHVH's help & provision the Messianic-torah restoration movement will reach out to more & more people here in this part of the world.

We need you, in that part of the western world to pray for us, as we pray also for you, in a way to encourage us & support us as Adonai continues to bless you.
You have access to the scholarly materials (books, dvds,documentaries etc..) about the messianic faith. If you have old books (even used or old jewish bibles,chumash,siddur, prayer shawls (tallit),tefillin, old menorahs,shofar, & other jewish symbols of judaica etc…) that you want to donate that will be a great help to us who are just starting. We don’t have those things here available in the Philippines. For what I know Messianic Judaism has been for more than 20 years in the United States, you are more blessed?

Chaverim (friends),the Philippines Islands is at the center of Asia & is suppose to be the only christian nation , but sadly one of the most impoverised region compared to his prosperous neighbors such as japan, singapore,hongkong,taiwan..etc..
But why? The Philippine population of 85 Million people is mostly comprises of 75% roman catholics,12 % born again protestants,10% muslims.You see the majority of our people are non-torah observant. Most protestant churches are anti-nomians, does not advocate torah practices, this is why there so much curse in our land.
But the game is not over yet, I believe Adonai has plans for the Philippines & His solutions is to make the believers here in our country to be conscious of YHVH's torah & to practice them. That way, the curses on this land will be reverse to blessings by His great love,mercy,compassion & grace.

Friends (Chaverim), let us unite in prayer & good deeds to make things happen. Our group is very serious, but we lack resources especially books, jewish bibles,hebrew literacy materials ,torah commentaries. Please pray to Adonai regarding our shared burden to share & teach the Holy goodness of Torah of YHVH & His son Yeshua to the believers first then to the catholics & even to the muslims.

People want the truth, but there's so much scarcity of this teachers/leaders who teaches & leading people to this truth. The catholics & protestants are well established, we the Messianic-torah believers are not.
It seems that the biblical principle that YHVH loves to work with few dedicated disciples to work out His plans & purposes, to bring about His perfect will to come to reality. What is impossible with man is possible with God.

Who else are on our side in this belief on the Messiah Yeshua & The torah of Adonai? We don’t expect the catholics & antinomians protestants to help us?
