I'd rather have a brother as an ally too but I know when people are playing games and when peace would actually play into their hands. People with big egos need to get them deflated to the normal range of sizes before they can truly be brothers because otherwise they will always see themselves as father and bigger-than-yous, looking for opportunity to get people to succumb to their programming. And trust, Wondell, I know where you're coming from. I know the role of moderator. And I feel the same way about moderation and not wanting to kick people off or censor people. Some people may get disgusted and leave. Some may just ignore. Some may get involved. A lot of things can happen in this situation. And I would never advocate for the removal or censorship of anyone; especially when I think others could benefit from hearing the truth come out of it when the matter concludes.
I have had a lot of contentious debates but it is usually with the same archetype. Egos...... If they were right that would be one thing and we could debate the merits of their argument. But when they can't or find it too difficult they want to escape in a way that attempts to paint a negative picture of their opposition and a positive picture of themselves. That's why when YaDon claimed to be kicking the dust off his feet I used some basic psychology to bring him back. If he had really been trying to do what he wanted everyone to BELIEVE he was doing then I would have failed. But I anticipated his trying to run and his return. I knew he would come back to defend his ego, not his argument. And I can see when people are losing. They don't have to say it. People handle it in different ways. He handled it like a few different people I've debated at once (which was interesting and entertaining to watch). He used comedy to try to make light of it, he used the bible, he tried to guilt me, he tried to get allies (including my wife, lol), as well as solicit sympathy from the audience.
But not to worry. I have no intentions of a long drawn out encounter that will hurt HisSpace. I can feel within my spirit when to pull back and when to offer a different response. I'll know when. There's no way I'm going to let YaDon psycho-babble me into being quiet though. His subconscious is showing me what's effective. Neither can I stand for him to continue trying to use the same tactics on people, doing to people exactly what he's attacking and writing lessons about. He wants people to respect those who he doesn't, saying things we have to agree with just so that we'll be agree-able. You deal with enough of these guys and you start to smell them. There are wolves amongst the sheep and they are the ones who pretend to be "nice". Fortunately, this is a forum. That's what I love about forums. Everything I say is documented. And so is everything they say. That's why I don't like deletions. If someone has a question about what I said or why I said it, they can go back and see how the conversation turned. And they can see that I don't go after people at random or for no reason and that I'm responding to what was said. I let what I say justify me. I don't seek to be justified by trying to wear some titles that don't fit and never will. This is why I will never appeal to a moderator to step in. Completely unnecessary unless there is an unfair situation of someone getting abused who cannot adequately defend themselves. And even then, there are other posters who can step in also. So don't worry, this situation is well in hand.

Why do you want to put the blame on the Gentiles when God allows what God wants to allow? Isn't God in control? We meaning me too always have to have someone to blame. Hmmm Human nature. But what i don't understand is if God wants us to totally forgive doesn't he want us to throw it into the sea of forgetfulness ? If we don't he says he cannot forgive us. I have a reason for being offended because I am a Gentile. But let me tell you this it was people that called themselves Christians that had anything to do with slavery. Because the fruits of the spirit will not allow them kind of actions. With salvation comes change and if their isn't change" meaning to become Christlike" Then there is no salvation and thats not me speaking that's God's words. I understand your anger with the government but we have to remember that our God is in control and everything will end up for good of his creation.
IF YOU CANNOT FORGIVE AND NOT BRING IT UP GOD WONT FORGIVE YOU> That doesn't mean forget what happened because we all know what took place it just means we have had a new beginning and we are going forward to the mark that our God has set before us.

Greg, thank you for your post. It is important for me that there be room for people to change. The story of Yisra'el is not one of absolute perfection. Jacob was a snake who stole his brother's birth right through subtlety and deception and lied to his father on his deathbed. How is it that it was Jacob who was chosen by YHWH and not his brother? If an angel had wrestled with Esau might things have been different? There is a reason that Isaac wanted to bless Esau.
But YHWH has proven that he is the answer to help create positive CHANGE in humanity. Under HIS influence the sinner can not only aspire to be a saint but become one. Under his LOVE and guidance wounds are healed and the cycle of violence and hate is brought to an end. We aren't to be silly. If a thief has robbed you 400 times one would be silly if not foolish to invite him in again. But to say that ANYONE who looks like that thief must be a thief is the same twisted thinking that turns a Christian into a Klansman. Sheer ignorance. Evil doesn't have a color. It takes whatever form we (anyone of us) gives it. White people CAN be evil. Black people CAN be evil too. The difference is choice. And we have to choose what we will be in a garden where not every fruit is good to eat.
To me it is the height of fear when every shadow turns into an enemy. In the DARKNESS (symbol of ignorance) the mind plays tricks on you. And all it takes is a suggestion. Victims tend to react more to the fear of being re-victimized. This is psychological. It is natural that a rape victim has problems trusting, not just the person who raped them but anyone even resembling them. The mind does this. Women, especially in my community, constantly take out on the next man whatever wrongs that were done to them by the last man and in their mind the two start to blur where they're checking cell phones, questioning where he is, and even thinking that the lip stick on his collar isn't their color when its not even lipstick at all (cut himself shaving). These things may seem without logic or merit but they are based on something very real that should not be dismissed.
At the same time how do you go about re-establishing a relationship with people you don't communicate with? A lot of the problems happen when we don't talk and both white people and black people start to blur into one black person and one white person. Many white people think that all black people steal, wear baggy pants, and like to listen to loud rap music. They get a sort of conspiracy-theory like image of black people out to get them. And black people become scary to them. You may not know these kinds of people but they exist and cause us to recoil and think things about white people we'd rather not. The extremes produce more extremes. The fear of black people actually produces black people you SHOULD fear. But from our perspective a lot of the hatred towards us we can think of hardly an explanation for since most of the crime in our community is not black on white.
At the same time a lot of people attack whatever seems like a threat to them (like "weapons of mass destruction") and use fear tactics to get others to follow suit. However, this appears to many (if not most) non-whites as something other than fear and we don't always see how some whites USE AND MANIPULATE others. If there is anything that is not forgiven it is not the past sins of white people but the things that keep happening again and again which we think that you should be able to prevent or stop but choose not to. But could it be true that the same way that black people are "dumbed down" to be controlled, WHITE PEOPLE are also "dumbed down" and controlled by the very same idiot box and other mechanisms used to distort the truth and in a flash of light hide the magicians hands? Is it possible that White people are VICTIMS of a wealthy aristocratic super-class (that also happens to be white which causes non-whites to misunderstand) who acts like its doing all these things in your best interest? Is it possible?
I believe in love for all humanity. I believe in hating evil and sin and wickedness. I believe that evil is a concept without form and void until we submit to it, give it access to our minds, and allow it to rule our bodies. There is no white devil or black devil; just a devil that snatches the bodies of all to make all fight each other. And by fighting this "white devil" one becomes a devil himself, falling victim to the real trap which doesn't care what your race is or where you're from.
YAHWEH is no respecter of person; neither is sin. When one puts a face on sin you play into its hands. It causes you to blame others when you should be looking into the mirror. It doesn't sound good coming from someone people (falsely) perceive (because of racism) to be the slave master, telling the victim ANYTHING that sounds REMOTELY like "get over it". Avoid this perception if you can. This is unfruitful salt in old wounds. Nothing more. Certainly not help. What people need to do is present themselves as human beings, prostrated before a greater power; the power of the Almighty. And show empathy towards those who have suffered. The worst thing one can do is not to acknowledge someone else's pain or try to absolve themselves of guilt just for conscience sake. "I'm not saying I did anything to you or your people personally, but I am sorry it happened". This goes far; much further than most efforts that people pay just so that they can feel that they did something. And stand up against racism wherever you seeing it happening in your own community. This is what really lets non-whites know that you disapprove of the behavior. And if you disapprove then it would be silly to think you were just a closet racist yourself. And honestly that's how it appears to many of us and so its hard to trust that white people are actually sorry.
You will find that black people are VERY forgiving to those who actually admit fault and ASK for forgiveness. When you ask YHWH to "forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors" you are asking someone you are in debt to for forgiveness. How then, if you ask YHWH for forgiveness, you should not be expect to ask others for forgiveness if you have sinned against them. A lot of times its not even what white people say but the general unrepentant attitude that man have (we've seen it) that makes us leery and slant eyebrows at the rest (even though this, as I explained earlier, isn't right). What we have is 2 wrongs not equaling a right making it hard for us to have a relationship. At some point someone has to leave their comfort zone and give the other side a reason to extend a hand and to forgive. But in my opinion, this is not the responsibility of the victim to go out of their way to forgive someone who hasn't demonstrated to them that they aren't sorry or entirely weren't involved at all and never benefited in any way from the enslavement of peoples from Africa.
Now what I would say is that one SHOULD forgive. It is true that if we are not forgiving of others YHWH will not be forgiving towards us. At the same time there were many who YHWH told the people to war against or stone in order to remove the stain of that behavior from Yisra'el. So at the same time its like... but we need to maintain the walls of righteousness. When you don't do that the entire city can fall to corruption. Sometimes it only takes one sin to affect a rash of sins as a consequence. The feelings that African Americans have towards whites (and I'm not talking about ALL blacks or ALL whites) was bought and paid for by Europeans. The best advice I can give you is to separate yourself... flee the perception of wickedness and stand against it and the Father which sees you in secret will reward you openly. I think too often people want to deal with the racial issue only when it affects them. And the thing is, it affected you long before anyone wanted to start "Dealing with it". And forgive my bluntness but it is not a good way to "deal with it" by telling people they need to do x or G-d will do y or z to them; especially in an audience of those who are well aware how Christianity made black people more accepting of their circumstance. Many African Americans don't see their circumstances as being very different today. So what do you say to them?
Malcom X regretting telling a white woman that there was nothing she could do. I suggest (and you don't have to take my suggestion) you read the autobiography of Malcom X (if you haven't already) and do whatever is in your own power to do to help effect change. Otherwise, talking almost has a distasteful redundancy. But I have every hope that we can move forward and I personally bear no hostility or animosity towards you personally or anyone (as such negative feelings are toxic to self). Wish blessings and peace upon you and your family and hope that you grow in the love and affections of our Maker. But please understand that we desire to see change (less outcry from whites against animal abuse, a little more outcry and organizations built around human abuse)
